European studies

Political Science - Politics and the State

Programmes will be carried out if there will be 20 applicants for study programme Political Science - Politics and the State, and 19 applicants for study programme European Studies.

Step 2: Check important dates

Open day:  13 and 14 February 2015

Deadline for applicants:

Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and Citizens of the Member States of the EU: 

  • first application period: between 5th  February and 5th  March  2015,
  • second application period for programmes with free slots: between 21st  and 28th  August 2015,
  • third application period for programmes with free slots: 1st  and 5th  October 2015.

Slovenians without a Slovenian citizenship and foreign citizens from countries that are not member states of the EU:

  • first application period: between 5th February and 1st June 2015 (for non-EU students),
  • second application period: between 1st  and 5th October 2015 (for non-EU students).

Intake: 30 September

Social Informatics

Part-time programmes will be carried out if there will be 20 applicants for study programme Political Science - Politics and the State, and 19 applicants for study programme European Studies.

Foreign citizens who have a permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia (RS) and who themselves or their parents/guardians are taxpayers in the RS should apply for enrolment slots for citizens of the RS and EU.

A certificate of knowledge of Slovenian language for foreign citizens: For the programme Journalism, foreigners must pass an examination of Slovenian language at the intermediate level until August 3rd, 2015. Send the certificate to the Higher Education Application and Information Service of the University of Ljubljana.

Part-time programmes will be carried out if there will be 20 applicants for study programme Political Science - Politics and the State, and 19 applicants for study programme European Studies.

Foreign citizens who have a permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia (RS) and who themselves or their parents/guardians are taxpayers in the RS should apply for enrolment slots for citizens of the RS and EU.

Candidates who have finished their secondary school education abroad  will be assessed in the procedure for the recognition of education for the purpose of continuing education. Information, application form and important deadlines are available on the web site http://www.uni-lj.si/study/useful_information/recognition_of_foreign_education/

Step 5: Check tuition costs and scholarships 

Admission fee for academic year is 29,00 € 

Tuition fee for full-time study is 2.500 EUR (citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and citizens of the member states of the European Union, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia are not required to pay school fees for full time study programmes).

Tuition fee for part time study is 3.000 EURTuition fee must be paid in upon enrolment at the faculty. The tuition fee does not include the mandatory health insurance. This must be settled before the start of study.

Please note: The confirmation on registration will be issued upon the payment of tuition fee.

Scholarships

You may be eligible for a scholarship to help with your course fees and living costs.
