Training on research ethics & integrity

The Unit for Research Ethics and Integrity of the University of Ljubljana cordially invites you to the autumn training on research ethics and integrity, which will be held on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from 2 to 4 pm the Rectorate’s Assembly Hall (Zbornična dvorana), Kongresni trg 2, in co-organisation with the University Office for Doctoral Studies. The training is primarily aimed at PhD students and early-career scholars, but it is open also to other researchers.

The main aim of the training is to raise awareness and sensitise about ethical and integrity aspects in research organisations as well as to promote responsible research conduct. In addition to shedding light on the fundamental concepts and relevant documents (code of ethics, guidelines etc.), the training will provide an overview of the main ethics issues, concerns or methods and of contemporary challenges that require certain ethical consideration – by the researcher and often also by other agents (supervisors, committees) – already at the time of preparing or applying for research projects. Next, we will address research misconduct or unethical practices violating research integrity, as well as various regulations, ethics committees and procedures in this domain, which UL researchers need to be aware of and take into consideration when carrying out their research.

The training will be provided by Prof. dr. Nina Peršak and conducted in English language. You can register for the training HERE until 3 November 2025. Should you not be able to attend the training despite having registered, please withdraw your registration as soon as possible (by sending an e-mail to doktorski.studij@uni-lj.si) in order to give others on the waiting list the opportunity to attend it.
