At the 15th ZORA Day, the annual professional meeting of Slovenia’s national cervical cancer screening programme, held on 25 May 2026 at Brdo pri Kranju, Dr. Sara Atanasova from the Centre for Methodology and Informatics (CMI) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, participated as a speaker.

As part of the Open Term for Science, Professor André Pereira Neto from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) visited the faculty. His research focuses on the impact of the internet on the relationship between doctors and patients, as well as on the quality of online health information.

Applications for the summer school are open until 4 June 2026. The summer school offers the course Making Data Work: Visualization for Insight and Impact, taught by Assoc. Prof. Marjan Cugmas (UL FDV) and Prof. Mojca Bavdaž (UL EF), focusing on the principles and practices of data visualization. Participants will gain the skills to design clear, effective, and compelling visualizations tailored to different audiences.

As part of the project Mentoring Relationships in the Processes of Scientific Collaboration and Knowledge Production, Assoc. Prof. Marjan Cugmas prepared an animation presenting the results of the research.

On Thursday, 22 January, the tenth traditional Meeting of Researchers in the Field of Network Analysis (https://netslo.mf.uni-lj.si/) took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. The event was organised by members of the Centre for Methodology and Informatics and the Chair of Social Informatics at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, in cooperation with colleagues from the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, the “Jožef Stefan” Institute, and the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto.

A member of CMI, Assoc. Prof. Sara Atanasova, PhD, has recently joined the editorial board of the international scientific journal Health Literacy and Communication Open, published by Taylor & Francis.
