CMI member joins the editorial board of the international scientific journal Health Literacy and Communication Open

A member of CMI, Assoc. Prof. Sara Atanasova, PhD, has recently joined the editorial board of the international scientific journal Health Literacy and Communication Open, published by Taylor & Francis.

Health Literacy and Communication Open is a new open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original interdisciplinary research in the fields of health literacy, health, and communication, as well as at the intersection of these areas. It places a strong emphasis on a global and accessible research perspective by including studies from diverse international contexts and encouraging the use of plain-language summaries for the general public and healthcare users. The journal publishes both qualitative and quantitative research, as well as theoretical contributions that address empirical and conceptual health-related questions through multiple perspectives, experiences, and cultural contexts.

As a member of the editorial board, Assoc. Prof. Sara Atanasova, PhD, will primarily focus on topics related to digital health literacy and vaccine literacy, issues of their measurement, and their role in the empowerment of individuals and communities in the field of (digital) health.
