The Centre for Political Science Research developes basic and applicative research in key areas of political science. These  include: research into  Slovenia’s political system in international comparison (e.g., the structure and function of parliament, government, state council, local communities and local self-government, political parties, elections and public administration); policy analysis (including evaluation studies); research into citizenship, representation, democracy, civil society, political culture, gender equality, policy networks and lobbying – all in the context of globalization (particularly Europeanization);  history of political ideas and political science developments.
