Petra Roter Member of the Scientific Advisory Council of Eurac Research

Petra Roter from the Centre of International Relations has been selected as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of Eurac Research: Institute for Minority Rights – one of the leading institutes on minority rights in Europe, situated in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. Her mandate in the five member body is for the period 2017–2020.

Pathfinder Award 2016 for Prof. Dr. Dejan Verčič

Dr. Dejan Verčič has on 30 November 2016 in New York received this year's Pathfinder Award. The award is the highest academic honor of the Institute for Public Relations (IPR), an independent organization dedicated to scientific research in the field of public relations.

Maja Bučar at a Conference Gathering over 40 European Research Centres on Challenges in the EU

Chair of CIR Maja Bučar participated at the TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference 'Restoring faith in the European Union: Strengthen solidarity, unity and determination'. The event, which took place between 10 and 11 November 2016 in Malta, attracted more than 40 representatives from various European research centres, who discussed current EU challenges. During the conference TEPSA general assembly was also held: Sabina Lange, an external colleague of CIR, was elected member of the TEPSA executive committee.

The Social Sciences Research Institute is the largest research institute for Social Sciences in Slovenia. Research at the Institute is carried out within the framework of national and international research programmes. Intensive research is carried out within European Union research projects, but researchers and research centres are also involved in other international research.
