The research centre specializes in interdisciplinary research in the fields of diplomatic studies, sustainable development, international business and law. Its members collaborate with other established researchers in both national and international projects. They are also intensively involved in national and international research as well as professional and advisory networks, where they exchange research findings with other experts in the aforementioned fields and strengthen the visibility of the research centre, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the University of Ljubljana as research and knowledge institutions.
