The main activity of Centre for Spatial Sociology (CPS) is connecting different interdisciplinary knowledge from the area of social functioning in space. The Centre was established in 1969 when it introduced and established research and teaching of spatial sociology in Slovenia. Research activity within the centre is focused on exploration of spatial development at all levels including global, regional, city, local and neighbourhood. Based on international research expertise the team of CPS aims to connect theoretical knowledge with good practice and helps to diagnose complex postmodern spatial processes.
