Prof. Iztok Prezelj spoke at a conference titled ‘Cyber Resilience by Design: From Regulatory Compliance to Real-World Preparedness’, organised by the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce.

Tanja Perko and Iztok Prezelj opened a new chapter in DRC’s collaboration with SRA-E at the conference hosted by the University of Alicante, Spain.

On Tuesday, 17 March 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted a discussion on the US National Security Strategy and its implications for the world, Europe and Slovenia. The event was co-organised by the Euro-Atlantic Council of Slovenia (EASS), the Chair of Defence Studies, the Defence Studies Research Centre of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, and the Club of Former Ambassadors.

At the end of 2025, and in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Defence Studies programme and the 40th anniversary of research activity in the field, a scientific monograph entitled Security on the Threshold of a Dystopian Society, edited by Dr Marjan Malešič, was published.

Civil-military cooperation is becoming increasingly important in the contemporary security environment, in which complex crises are emerging. Preparing for and responding to such crises requires cooperation among numerous activated stakeholders. Civil-military cooperation is of exceptional importance, as the military can often support civil society with its extensive resources and capabilities. Moreover, it is an indispensable component of so-called integrated crisis management.
