About the centre
The Defence Research Centre (DRC) is a scientific-research institution studying social dimensions of security, defence, military, war and peace in the contemporary world. Formally it was established in 1985. Main aim of the DRC's endeavours is the empirical and theoretical contribution to the development of security studies. The DRC has concluded numerous fundamental and problem-solving research projects at home and abroad, it cooperates with several domestic and foreign scientific institutions. Its research fellows are active members of ISA, IStA, IPSA, ERGOMAS and ECMA. They have also assumed leading positions in some of them, namely ISA RC 01, IPSA and ERGOMAS. With its activities the DRC significantly contributes to resolving of political, defence and security dilemmas in domestic and international milieu. The DRC’s mission is also the education and training of the future experts in the field of security scientific research.
