Workshop on mixed-mode surveys 2020 held at FDV

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) organised the traditional annual Workshop on mixed mode surveys, which took place on 23 September 2020 from 9.00 to 13.00. It was attended by researchers from CSI, Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the National Institute of Public Health and academic sector to exchange the results in the field of web and mixed mode surveys. The event was organised and led by prof. Vasja Vehovar, PhD.

The participants discussed the latest trends in the area of survey costs and their experience with previous methodological activities. In this context they discussed the cost and methodological aspects of online, face-to-face and mail surveys, the challenges of mixed and international surveys, the standardization of paradata and the detection of speeders in online surveys.

Due to Covid-19, the workshop was organized in a hybrid mode, where some of the participants were connected via the online platform Zoom. The participants were very satisfied with the execution of the workshop and hope that future workshops will also be held in physical and web mode.
