New projects in 2017

In 2017, we started to implement three important international projects. In January was launched the Interreg Europe project InnovaTion in Health And Care for All (ITHACA). ITHACA involves 9 EU regions with a shared ambition to accelerate the scaling up of smart health and care innovation that can support active and healthy living and secure the triple win of economic growth, more sustainable health and care systems and improved wellbeing of Europe’s citizens. Focusing on this sphere, its primary goal is to improve Structural Funds’ policies and implementation across the smart health and care innovation cycle (invention, cocreation, market testing, validation, scaling up) and enhance regional and interregional ecosystems. The leader of our project team is Vesna Dolničar, PhD.

One month later the Interreg Danube project Excellence in research, social and technological innovation project management (Re-STI) was launched. The project consortium includes several partners with wide experience of teaching, training and capacity building for project management, who will set up an innovative learning system for young project managers and administrators in public and private R&I and SI institutions in the Danube Region to increase their employability and the quality of projects using augmented learning environments and adaptive learning. Our team leader is Jaroslav Berce, PhD.

The CSI is also involved in implementation of JUST project Cyber Violence and Harassment against Women and Girls (CYBERVAW) that is coordinated by Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of Republic of Slovenia. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness, combat gender stereotypes, prevent, reduce and change attitudes towards cyber violence and harassment against girls and women in Slovenia.
