In the scope of the Infrastructure Programme of the Faculty of Media – collecting, management and archiving of media literacy data – data from different groups (the entire population and various vulnerable groups in Slovenia) was collected. The research was supplemented by examining the general level of media literacy in Slovenia. In this way, the authors furthermore tried to promote methodological and conceptual research of the field in Slovenia. Due to the trend of increasing exposure and rapid progress of technology, is not yet possible to predict actual long-term effects of exposure to different modern media, therefore the research of the current state of media habits is of great importance. In data collection, the focus was on media exposure, critical thinking, news monitoring and suggestions for improving the situation. The questionnaire was based on research experience of media literacy in 2014. There is very little data collected in this field of study, consequently, such data is very important for the research, various studies and publications by researchers in various fields.
