The national evaluation study examines the roles and needs of classroom teachers in managing the educational process in primary and secondary education. The study explores the role of classroom teachers in preparing school documents, their relationships and cooperation with pupils and students, parents, school leadership, class teaching staff, and the school counselling service, while also exploring the expectations and attitudes of these stakeholders toward classroom teachers. It also analyses the implementation of class community lessons and consultation hours. Furthermore, it investigates the conditions, challenges, and competencies required for successful classroom teaching, as well as differences in performing this role across various educational stages in primary and secondary school.
The data, that are in ADP available upon request, were collected using a mixed-methods approach. Two focus groups were conducted, one in primary school and one in secondary school, alongside an online survey designed for different target groups: principals, school counsellors, classroom teachers, primary and secondary school students, and their parents.
