Double degree Master's Programme in International Relations and Southeast European Studies (University of Graz)

A Double Degree is a study programme that gives master students the opportunity to graduate with two degrees - one in International Relations from the University of Ljubljana at the Faculty of Social Sciences (UL-FDV) and one in Southeast European Studies from the University of Graz (UNI GRAZ).

The Double Degree programme is available only to students enrolled in a relevant master's programme at both partner institutions (UL-FDV or UNI GRAZ). The programme is based on the mutual recognition of credits and a master thesis, which gives students the opportunity to complete both studies faster.

Participating master's students spend their first year at the UL-FDV and complete 60 ECTS there, while in the third semester they complete a mandatory mobility period at UNI GRAZ, completing 30 ECTS in the Southeast European Studies module. In the second year, students enrol at the UNI GRAZ but also remain enrolled at the UL-FDV. Students may decide to write the master's thesis at the UNI GRAZ or at the UL-FDV, where they spend the fourth semester and acquire 30 ECTS.

Students who meet the admission and graduation requirements as well as the learning outcomes of both programmes and have spent the required mobility period at UNI GRAZ can receive a diploma at both partner universities.
