Roundtable with alumni and networking of faculty journals of the joint HiD doctoral program

Last Monday, October 27, a round table with alumni from various members of the joint doctoral program Humanities and Social Sciences (HiD) took place as part of the doctoral studies, followed by a presentation of in-house journals. The alumni shared their paths through the HiD doctoral program, discussed all the challenges they faced, offered advice to all doctoral students, and presented where their journeys have led them today. Joining us were Dr. Mojca Frelih, who completed her studies at the Faculty of Social Work in 2024, Dr. Natalija Šimunovič, who graduated the same year from the Academy of Music, Dr. Zala Dobovšek, who attended the Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television Academy and completed her doctoral studies in 2019, Dr. Džemal Durić, who completed his studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2015, and Dr. David Gosar, who earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Arts in 2019.

This was followed by a dynamically designed presentation of in-house journals. Representatives of individual editorial teams first outlined the operation of their journals and then answered numerous questions from students at the stands. The initiative to present in-house journals arose due to the requirement for doctoral students, who must publish an original scientific article during their studies, often facing the difficulty and uncertainty of not knowing whom to turn to. The following in-house journals participated with their editors: Teorija in praksa, FDV, prof. dr. Jernej Pikalo, Družboslovne razprave, FDV, izr. prof. dr. Natalija Majsova, Ars & Humanitas, FF, prof. dr. Martin Germ, Clotho, FF, izr. prof. dr. David Movrin, Amfiteather, AGRFT, dr. Maja Murnik, KINO!, AGRFT, doc. dr. Maja Krajnc, Socialno delo, FSD, doc. dr. Vera Grebenc, Edinost in dialog, TeOF, dr. Aljaž Krajnc in Blagoslovni vestnik, TeOF, mag. Liza Primc.
