Instructions for Enrollment in the Master's Study Programme – Academic Year 2025/26

                                                                                   I.

Enrolment takes place electronically.

Enrollment will take place:

  • for the 1st year from August 25, 2025 to September 4, 2025,

  • for the 2nd year from August 27, 2025 to September 30, 2025.

 

Before enrolling, carefully read the enclosed leaflet in relation to the acquisition and use of digital identity, which allows the use of information services at the University of Ljubljana. In the leaflet is your username and registration number.

 

Digital identity is required for entry in the Web Office - My FDV (available on the home page of the faculty) which also includes Web Office, review of timetables and curricula, etc.. Through Web Office, you will complete your enrolment, later you will track your (un)completed obligations, login in and (de)register to the exams etc.

 

Before enrolling, carefully read the faculty's website (tab studies / Master's degree):

 

To view the complete curricula of all courses and timetable, you will need a username and password (see the attached letter regarding digital identity) to enter My FDV on the homepage of the Faculty.

You need to check dates of implementation of elective courses on your timetable and consider the selection of such course so the selected course would not overlap with your compulsory courses. You can not choose an open elective course if it is an obligatory course on your programme.

Replacement of elective courses is possible in accordance with the Rules on first and second cycle study (based on the approved application) no later than 5 working days after the beginning of the semester.

 

Regarding other rules, rights and obligations, abide the Selected articles from the Rules on first and second cycle study.

Pay attention also to Academic Calendar.

 

II.

 

Any general questions can be addressed the Student affairs office (masterstudies@fdv.uni-lj.si or referat@fdv.uni-lj.si). You will get answer in three working days. For other questions related to the study programme, however, contact the Professor - Coordinator of the programme.

 

III.

 

You can enrol on the home page of the faculty with your username and password to log in My FDV: select the button web office and fill registration form. In the menu, select "Enrolment form’’.

 

 If you have to pay tuition fee (you will get a special message about that), you have to send us signed Contract on education and proof of payment tuition – without it we can not finish your enrolment.

 

After filling the registration form, you will receive the invoice for registration fee on your e-mail.

After you finish your work with Enrolment form (save it in the end), we will check it and complete the enrolment process. When we finish the work, you will be able to print out your confirmation of enrolment from your account at “MY FDV” application (Web Office – Other – Confirmation of enrolment). 

 

Note:
If the name of Post or Municipality is not in the list, please type in "tujina".

Continue with filling in the information on your education. If the institution of acquired education is not in the list, please type in "Zavod v tujini".

IV.

 

The Higher Education Act requires that a student ID card must have a photograph. A student ID card with a photo will be issued to all students enrolling in a UL degree program for the first time in the 2025/2026 academic year or changing degree programs in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Students submit their photo electronically when completing the registration form at the time of initial registration. The photo must meet the specifications for an ID card. The student must be photographed from the front, with uncovered forehead and face, without hat, cap, or scarf. There should be no objects or things in the background. The photo must be portrait, without frame or border. The image format must be JPG and at least 400 pixels wide and 503 pixels high.

 

Before you start filling out the online registration form, prepare a picture on the computer where you will fill out the registration form. As the image is displayed on the registration form, it will also be added on the student ID card. Therefore, be accurate when preparing and submitting the image.

The student is solely responsible for the appropriateness of the photo.

 

If the picture does not meet the minimum size and resolution requirements, you will not be able to submit the enrolment form and thus will not be able to complete enrolment at the University of Ljubljana.

 

If the photo submitted in the enrolment form does not show your true likeness (e.g. you are not alone in the photo, the photo does not have a neutral background, etc.), we will not issue you a student ID card. The cost of issuing a new student ID card is borne by the student, and the student ID card is charged according to the price list of the University of Ljubljana.

 

ATTENTION: According to the UL Statute, the student status is proved by a student card issued by the University. A student without a student card cannot prove student status and cannot use other benefits associated with the student card.

 

V.

 

All invoices (including registration fee and tuition fee) during study will be sent only electronically to your student email address. Information about the invoices will also be recorded in the online administration MY FDV (button "Other" / " Financial situation ").

 

During enrollment we suggest you to use browser as Microsoft Internet Explorer ali Mozilla Firefox.
