Invitation for all doctoral students under programme The Humanities and Social Sciences

Dear all,

We kindly invite you to a joint meeting of all doctoral students of the Humanities and Social Sciences organized on Monday, october 26th, at 5 pm in the Grand Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with a round table on Is artificial intelligence just a new tool for researchers, or are we witnessing the biggest epistemological transformation of science since the digital revolution? At a time when the borders between disciplines are fading faster than ever, the very figure of the scientist is also changing. At the event, we will explore together with leading researchers, developers of the Slovenian language model GaMS, and experts from both academia and the private sector, how artificial intelligence is reshaping scientific work, what new opportunities it opens up, and what ethical, social, and political dilemmas it brings. The discussion will cover everything from questions of infrastructure and data to the broader question of what kind of future for knowledge we are actually building.

Invitation attached.

Best regards,
