29th USI Summer School in Social Sciences Methods (Lugano, 7-22 August 2025)

For nearly three decades, the USI Summer School in Social Sciences Methods has provided rigorous training in a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods. 

Participants benefit from intensive workshops led by internationally renowned scholars, fostering a stimulating learning environment and valuable networking opportunities with peers from across the globe.

The program includes four preliminary workshops and 25 one-week-long in-depth workshops, covering a diverse range of methodological approaches.

This year's program features several timely new additions, including workshops on:

• Using methods to improve theoretical arguments: Bridging theory and methods with case studies and comparative research to develop theories.
• Survey Design and Implementation: A comprehensive workshop covering all aspects of survey research.
• Large Language Models for Social Science Research: Exploring the potential and challenges of using LLMs in social science inquiry.
