Theoretical and historical definition of policy analysis; distinction between policy analysis for, and policy analysis of policy process; application worth of policy analysis; policy process and policy cycle models; definition of policy problem, formation of public and official policy agenda and societal problem solving; determination of policy process with contextual determinants; policy players; policy arena; policy networks; think-tanks; models for policy analysis, types of public policies.
