Short content
The purpose of the seminar is to support students of marketing communications and public relations in creating the research design for MA thesis. For the first time, students face the challenge of autonomously designing a complex scientific research study. By accomplishing the assignment they synthesise and advance their previously obtained research knowledge and skills. In so doing students benefit from guidance towards harmonising elements of the research process as well as from instructors’ directions towards studying additional methods.
Topics:
1) Research approach: ontology and epistemology
2) Research methods: quantitative – qualitative continuum.
3) Research desing typology: exploratory, descriptive and explanatory.
4) Harmonising research approach with research methods.
5) Research process structure: phases, their interdependence and particularities.
