Successful 21st International Symposium BledCom 2014


International Public Relations Research Symposium BledCom 2014, that took place on July 4th - 5th in Bled, was attended by 130 academics and practitioners from almost 30 different countries. Traditional two-day conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, prof. dr. Bojko Bučar.

BledCom was organized for the first time, and with great success, by the Centre for Marketing and Public Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences-IDV. Main topic of this year's conference was Digital Publics: New Generation, New Media, New Rules. The participants had an opportunity to listen to 45 presentations of papers, four plenary panels, a round table and four lectures of world-class, internationally recognized speakers from practice.
The theme, the dates, the location and the keynote speaker for BledCom 2015 have already been finalized to offer more time for participants to plan their abstract submission and travel plans. The theme for Bledcom 2015 will be: SLEEPING (WITH THE) MEDIA, with the conference taking place on July 3-4, 2015 in Bled. The keynote speaker will be Mrs. Uta-Micaela Dürig, Senior Vice President of the Bosch Group’s Corporate Communications, Brand Management and Sustainability department.
