This themes will be discussed through lectures and panel discussions.
The inaugural lecture was carried out by dr. Dmytro Oltarzhevskyi, Professor of Advertising and Public Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine). He spoke about the topic of The war in Ukraine, rethinking values in communication.
The participants were welcomed by prof. dr. Dejan Verčič, Head of the Centre for Marketing and Public Relations at the UL FDV, who is also the main organiser of the conference, and prof. dr. Iztok Prezelj, Dean of the UL FDV: »Who communicates, what, to whom, with what intention and by using what means is increasingly relevant in our crisis time. In time of Corona, we found ourselves trying to communicate clear, reliable, accurate, real time and analytically based information to our dis-united publics. Now in war time, we see an increasing level of dis-information or purposeful creation and spread of false information through various channels with the purpose of affecting public opinion and governmental decisions.«
