Short content

Characteristics of the processes of individualization and psychologization and their genealogy. The relationship between individualization and psychologization. The construction of the psychological self. The social constitution of human beings and the critical deconstruction of the subject as a self-originating agent of action. Cognitive processes and the social construction of reality. Social categorization and social identity. Stereotyping and prejudice as everyday micro-ideologies and exclusionary practices. Social and political power and influence, and the abuse of that power. Competitiveness and social bonding. Psychological ideals of (neo)liberalism. Individualization of responsibility and uncertainty. Psychology of the masses and political propaganda. Social and political resistances and uprisings.
