Short content

The course will provide students with a fundamental conceptual and theoretical framework, as well as practical knowledge, concerning the role of journalism in globalised capitalist societies. As the media play a constitutive role in a range of social processes, the course will consider journalism in relation to the wider social environment. Students will learn about different theoretical and conceptual approaches and the institutions and key figures that play a fundamental role in journalism.
