The course explores various dimensions of the Global South, enabling students to critically reflect on the concept, its historical emergence, and its political and economic significance. It is guided by the premise that the Global South is an outcome of the project of modernity and therefore cannot be understood independently of its relationship to the Global North, the Center, or the so-called First World.
