Short content
The course introduces the students to the definition and content of development economics as well as position of developing countries in today's world. It provides them with a historical overview of development of global economy and basic relations between the developed and developing countries. Also, main economic theories and development strategies are discussed. Among central development issues poverty, distribution of income and inequality, population and demographic policies, employment and migration issues are being addressed.
