Short content

The focus of the course in on sexuality studies as a recognized interdisciplinary academic and research field that deals with analysis of various phenomena from the field of sexuality, with broad spectrum of processes and behaviors, which include social, cultural, political and historical aspects of sexuality. It is based on non-essentialist theoretical reflection of sexuality and the related social phenomena and pays special attention to analysis of various social hierarchies, which are formed and reproduced in the field of sexuality through the processes of differentiating and privileging certain sexual practices and identities on the one hand and stigmatizing and excluding those outside the normative frames. The focus is also put on the analysis of politically and socially subversive aspects of different marginalized sexual cultures and minorities.
