Short content
Contemporary issues of the EU in the global context builds upon the prior courses on the European Studies Programme. It presents students with the contemporary problems faced by Europe in the global community. Every week students discuss the most recent developments in the global environment that concern Europe. Part of the course is focused on deeper understanding of the selected topics, including issues in globalization, international relations, international politics, conflict resolution, regionalization, European integration, multinational corporations, human rights issues, neighbourhood policy, etc. The course will feature at least one foreign guest lecturer and will be based on seminar work, requiring students preparation in advance and active in-class discussion.
