Short content

The main objective of the course is to identify different modes of violence – physical, symbolic, systemic – and to reevaluate the established findings about reverse correlation between violence and i.e. civilisation. The established academic notions on violence, human aggressiveness, violent conflicts etc. are amended by cross-cultural evidence. Violence is explored as social, cultural and media phenomena, which in modern societies of the spectacle inspires literal production, popular culture, entertainment.
