Introduction in concepts of political sciences. Development of the concept of politics from ancient use to contemporary neoliberal declination of politics as the highest good. Politics and ethics. Main fields and institutions of political sciences in the world. Main schools in political sciences. Political values: liberty, equality, solidarity, peace, tolerance, harmony. Political doctrines: liberalism, conservatism, socialism, communism, anarchism, corporatism, pluralism, elitism, comunitarism. Political actors: civil society, state, nation, party, lobby, interest organization. Representation, participation and interest mediation. Theories and main characteristics of democracy. Brief overview of history of political ideas: Plato, Augustinus, Tomas of Aquinas, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Montesquieu, Rousseau, Kant, Mill, Hegel, Marx. Europeization. Classification of political systems.
