Short content

Students will be introduced with weapon systems definitions in with their classification which always depends on social scientific and technological development. The military technology will be presented and classified by historical epochs from antiquity and feudalism where cold weapons prevailed through industrialization where fire arms (firstly smoothbore later on rifling) appeared. In 19 and 20th century the mass production and technological innovations brought massive usage of planes, tanks and battle ships, submarines, weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles. In second half of 20th century arms race expended to the space and information technology, and in the time of globalization it got completely different image with war on terror.
