Short content

This course includes the following main sets of contents: 1) The role of implementation and evaluation in analysing public policies in broader political contexsts; recognition of specifics and connections of the contents, processes, institutions and issues that are being monitored and evaluated; identification of policy goals and objectives, as well as also mechanisms for achieving them; 2) Models for implementation and evaluation of public policies; methodological approaches and designs, as well as also analytical procedures of monitoring, assessing, evaluating; designing implementation and evaluation research and relations with the research clients; 3) Applied value of theoretical and methodological knowledge for administrative-political purposes (especially related to the theories and concepts of governance and evidence based policies); 4) Limitations and aberrations of implementation and evaluation processes and practices. Important part of this course is also devoted to the application of the gained knowledge on a selected case study analysis (in the frameworks of the team project works).
