In the course students familiarize themselves with crucial paradigms of the relationship between technology and society: technological determinism, social constructivism, social shaping of technology, social informatics, actor-network theory, etc. Students also connect the presented theoretical foundations with current global phenomena in the field of social aspects of ICTs and prepare research questions, theoretical overviews, and approaches for addressing a selected problem in the final paper.
