Short content

This course analyzes the heterogeneous phenomenon of contemporary religious and spiritual movements from new religious and new age movements to the contemporary invented religions. It interdisciplinary and critically analyzes the socio-historical contexts of the emergence of contemporary alternative religious and spiritual movements and emphasizes the role of popular culture in these processes. One part of the course is devoted to contemporary Slovenian religious situation through practical encounters with some more active religious and spiritual groups.
