Short content

The course outlines the referential frame of interpretative psychoanalysis of Ljubljana Lacanian school. Combining critical social theories with Freudian concepts and traditions of German idealistic philosophy, is both explanatory - when dealing with discursive layers of cultural realities as whole - as well as uapplicable - when explaining the mechanisms and unconscious reasoning behind quintessential notions, such as how and why people make (political) choices, which cultural imagery shapes personalities, specifics of (culturally structured) subjectivization process, etc. The combination of discourse analysis and interpretative psychoanalysis provides for one of the most potent theoretical tool for understanding the irrationalities of the postmodern condition of man and culture
