Short content

In this course we will focus on sociological and feminist research about the processes that differentiate women and men in modern society. We will examine how gender is constructed at the societal level as well as how we engage in the re-production of gender in everyday life; how gender shapes our identities and permeates various institutions in society. We will also explore the nature, extent, and consequences of gender inequality in society. Special attention will be paid to transformations of intimacy and recent discussions about masculinity.
