Short content

This course provides the theoretical and methodological foundation necessary for completing a master’s thesis in the study programme Sociology-Management of Organizations and Human Resources. In the course, lecturers and students will discuss theoretical and practical (qualitative and quantitative) methodological issues related to the preparation of the thesis. Cases of relevant researches and methods for their analysis will be presented. Furthermore, thesis as a conceptual frame will be introduced as well as its key elements. Then the following issues will be addressed: topic and question identification, research methods, case selection, the craft of thesis production. Based on the abovementioned topics, students will identify and refine their thesis topics. Weekly sessions will involve discussions of relevant readings and exploration of emergent student work.
