Short content

The contemporary sociological dilemmas study combines a multidisciplinary study of social dilemmas and theoretical as well as practical themes and issues developed by different sociological disciplines. It is most of all a study of tensions and possible conflicts between collective and individual interests (rationalities). The topics are as follows: Introduction to social and sociological dilemmas; Classification of social dilemmas: “take some” and “give some” dilemmas; Theoretical perspectives; Social inequality and social dilemmas; Social dilemmas in politics; Fairness and social dilemmas; Globalisation, economic development and social and sociological dilemmas; Technological advancement and social dilemmas; Environment and health dilemmas; Trust, cooperation and social dilemmas; How to solve social dilemmas (social dilemmas management).
