Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Professor Eiríkur Bergmann from Bifröst University in Iceland


DSC08920From 29 February to 11 March 2016, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Professor Eiríkur Bergmann from Bifröst University in Iceland. He is a regular guest lecturer within the course titled Modern Theories of Political Community, which is an elective course of the Postgraduate Programme of Political Science - Political Theory (course responsible: Prof. Igor Lukšič).

Dr. Bergmann is Professor of Politics at the School of Social Science at Bifröst University and a Director of the Centre for European Studies in Iceland. As Visiting Lecturer and Research Fellow, he has taught and done his research at the universities in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, UK, Lithuania, and Belgium. His main research areas are European Integration Politics, International Political Economy, Nationalism and Identity Politics, and Deliberative Democracy. He writes also novels published in Icelandic.
