  • Mirt Komel, philosopher and writer, was enrolled at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FDV) and Faculty of Arts (FF), University of Ljubljana, auto-didactically studied ancient and modern Greek and also acquired internationally recognized certificates in the foreign languages of English, Italian, and French.

    After obtaining a diploma in sociology at FDV (2005) started to work as a Young Fellow Researcher at the Centre for the Research of Culture and Religion and as Teaching Assistant at the Department of Cultural studies (2006-10). After finishing his Phd. at the Department of Philosophy (2010) stayed at the Department of Cultural studies first as Teaching Assistant with Phd (2010-14), and now as Assist. Professor (2014-).

    Research Fellow at the Peace Institute of Ljubljana (2005-), member of the editorial board of the Journal for the Critique of Science (2007-14), author of several scientific articles in national and international journals, as well as author of the following scientific monographs: An Attempt of a Touch (2008), Twin Peaks and Postmodernism (2012), Discourse and Violence (2012), Socratic Touches (2015).
