    dr. Barbara Brečko holds a PhD in methodology and a master’s degree in communication sciences. She works as a researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, mainly in the field of policy evaluation and research in the field of ICT and education. She has more than fifteen years of experience in research with children and schools. Prior to working at UL FDV, she was a researcher at the Educational Research Institute, where she participated in the international studies of education TIMSS, PIRLS, SITES, ICILS and PISA. At the EC JRC IPTS (Information Society Department) in Seville, she worked on the development of a digital competence framework - DIGCOMP. In her work she uses qualitative and quantitative research methods. In the field of policy evaluation, she mainly carries out evaluations for various ministries (eg the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Equal Rights, the Ministry of Education, the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy), where it evaluates programs, projects and initiatives. In addition, she also participates in projects that address cyberbullying - e.g. CYBERVAW DG-Justice (REC); CYBERSAFE DG-Justice (REC) project.
