About the centre

The research centre specializes in interdisciplinary research in the fields of diplomatic studies, sustainable development, international business and law. Its members collaborate with other established researchers in both national and international projects. They are also intensively involved in national and international research as well as professional and advisory networks, where they exchange research findings with other experts in the aforementioned fields and strengthen the visibility of the research centre, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the University of Ljubljana as research and knowledge institutions. The centre's researchers engage in both basic and applied research. They regularly communicate their research findings to the scientific and professional audiences and other stakeholders. They organize scientific and professional meetings, participate in various consultations prepared by national and international institutions (e.g. different ministries, OECD, World Bank, European Commission, and others), and prepare expert analyses for decision-makers and policymakers. This is how they contribute to the development of Slovenian and international science and professional communities.
