EARL is celebrating its fifth anniversary!

On 17 May 2016, the then Dean of the Faculty of Arts, prof. dr. Branka Kalenić Ramšak, and the then Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, prof. dr. Rado Bohinc signed an agreement on the establishment of the East Asia Resource Library (EARL). In this short period of its existence, the EARL has grown into an institution that boosts the cooperation between the two faculties and contributes to both the domestic and international reach of the University of Ljubljana. This is evidenced, among other things, by the current project: the collaboration with Yonsei University, which results in the co-organization of a conference that will take place between 21-22 May and which is of high interest to scholars and experts from all over the world.

At the end of 2020, the EARL received important recognition: it became part of the Network of Research and Infrastructural Centers of the University of Ljubljana. This would not have been possible without the unreserved support of the Rector of the University of Ljubljana, Professor Igor Papič, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Monika Kalin Golob, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Roman Kuhar. The EARL owes eternal gratitude to all of them.
