At the lecture - Immigration in Japan

As part of the EARL special series of lectures celebrating the centenary of the University of Ljubljana, on 6th November 2019 Dr Nataša Visočnik presented a lecture titled »Immigration in Japan: labour shortages and social change« .

The lecture looked at the background of Japan’s longstanding rejection of a foreign workforce, and solutions that have been tried to address the issue of labour shortages over the last few decades.
