Univerza v Bristolu ponuja štipendije za vpis v njihov doktorski program Advanced Quantitative Methods.

The University of Bristol is delighted to announce the call for applications to the ESRC funded Advanced Quantitative Methods (AQM) PhD program in the South West Doctoral Training Centre (SWDTC), for September 2015 entry. The studentship application deadline for 2016 entry is noon on Thursday 4th February 2016

There are two types of studentships within the pathway. Firstly, for social scientists who wish to learn advanced quantitative methods for secondary-data analysis, and apply these methods appropriately to answer particular substantive questions from their disciplines. This group includes social scientists interested in inter-disciplinary research involving the application of quantitative methods from one discipline (e.g. geography) to problems in another (e.g. economics). Secondly, the AQM pathway is also for statistically trained researchers whose interests are more methodological. Projects may involve applying statistical methods used in other disciplines to social science problems, or developing novel statistical methods for analysing social-science data.

Applications from international and EU students are welcome. If you would like to make an informal inquiry prior to application can be made via qm-phd@bristol.ac.uk and full program details along with past course details can be seen here: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/cmm/aqm. Details of potential AQM supervisors are also included in the webpages as well as potential research topics. Students with their own research ideas are encouraged to apply.

Best wishes
