Taking place between 23 July to 8 August 2015, the
ECPR Summer School in Methods and Techniques is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of methodology and research techniques to improve your own research projects. Taught by highly experienced educators who are heavily active in their field, the Summer School affords you the opportunity to refresh and expand your knowledge, learn how to make informed choices about specific methods/techniques, or focus on a specific data collection, or analysis method.
The
main course programme offers introductory, intermediate and advanced courses across a wide range of methods and techniques. The main courses consist of either five or ten teaching days (one week or two week courses) and three hours' teaching is scheduled for each day. Participants also receive 3 – 4 hours' additional reading and supplementary practical work each day. In addition, computer software (Short Intensive Refresher) courses for three six-hour teaching days are held prior to the main courses so you have ample time to get up to speed.
The School's academic excellence is assured through the full-review of the participants' experiences after each event, in addition to the experience and expertise of its Academic Conveners and its Advisory Board which is made up of leading political scientists.

- Week-one or week-two course
- Week-one and week-two course

- You can also combine a Refresher course with a week-one, week-two or two-week course (a package). Course packages offer a discounted rate compared to booking individually.

If you attended the 2015 Winter School in Bamberg or the 2014 Summer School in Ljubljana you will receive a €50 discount. This will automatically be deducted from your fee when you register (excluding Refresher courses).
In addition, for two weeks only, an Early Bird discount is offered for students from
ECPR member institutions, a €50 discount for a one week course or a one week plus a Refresher course, or €100 for a two week course or a two week plus a Refresher course (excluding Refresher courses) that are paid for before midnight on
18 March 2015.
