Vabljeni na mednarodne prostovoljne kampe: “I Care for… 2015″
The international volunteer camps, organized by INGO Adriatic GreeNet and UNESCO Club Udine, will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable days full of activities, events and meetings in wonderful “small places”, thanks to the cultural and natural values preserved in these sites. These, with their surrounding areas play a great role as „custodians of our common European culture“.
The international volunteer camps “I Care for…” 2015 will take place in the same localities we met during the last years: Drežnik Grad in Croatia, Počitelj in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bač in Serbia, and Aquileia in Italy. We want to increase the knowledge of these towns and their communities, to encourage a dialogue that will help the growth of the Cultural Network of European „Small Places“, characterized by the presence of extraordinary cultural values, already UNESCO World Heritage sites or on the Tentative.
The Cultural Network of Small Places „I Care for…Europe“ has been officially established in Tarcento / Italy on December 8, 2013 as a concrete result of the international volunteer camps that aim at connecting these small places. In collaboration with our local partners we will set „active citizenship“ actions and promote volunteerism in order to enhance awareness and care about local cultural heritage. Moreover we will organize educational / informational activities emphasizing the multicultural character of the areas that will host us, underlining the need for their protection and valorization. In addition, our activities aim at stressing the unvaluable importance of our common European heritage and the role of culture for a sustainable development of marginal areas.
A new feature of this 2015 edition will be the presence of a second camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina in August and an additional one in Croatia in September, as well. With this further camps we want to give satisfaction to the many requests we received in the last years. Our aim is to provide the opportunity to people who can get vacation days only in August or September to enjoy this amazing experience without any trouble.
And there’s more, in fact the two Bosnian camps will get more interesting this summer, thanks to a stronger link with the local community that will enable us to spend some days in the Municipality of Stolac and amidst its unvaluable historical and cultural resources that will surely impress all participants (see Cultural Informations in the camp page). Finally, the tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park (the first natural UNESCO World Heritage site – declared 1979) besides an early autumn “touch” in the colors of the amazing scenery, might reserve to one of us the surprise to be the millionth visitor of the year 2015. Maybe we’ll get lucky – who knows?
