Vljudno vabljeni na predavanji prof. Lučke Kajfež Bogataj, ki bo v okviru predmeta International Protection of Environment v dveh povezanih predavanjih predstavila temo:
Climate change and international community: where do we stand, what are the risks, what can be done?
Predavanji bosta potekali v petek, 22. marca 2024, v FDV-05. Prvo predavanje bo potekalo 10.15-11.45 in nadaljevalno predavanje 12.00-13.30.
Predavanji bosta potekali v angleškem jeziku.
Prof. dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, zaslužna profesorica, redna profesorica za področje agrometeorologije na Biotehniški fakulteti, je več kot 40 let predano opravljala pedagoško in raziskovalno delo na področjih aplikativne meteorologije, biometeorologije in klimatologije ter je med pionirji raziskovanja podnebnih sprememb v Sloveniji. Prejela je številna priznanja, skupaj s člani Medvladnega odbora za podnebne spremembe in Alom Gorom tudi Nobelovo nagrado za mir 2007. Posebej izstopajo njeni dosežki na področju popularizacije znanosti in ozaveščanja o okoljskih problemih.

you are cordially invited to the lecture of prof. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, who will present the topic in two related lectures as part of the International Protection of Environment course:
Climate change and international community: where do we stand, what are the risks, what can be done?
The lectures will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, in FDV-05. The first lecture will take place from 10:15 to 11:45 and the second from 12:00 to 13:30.
The lectures will be held in English.
Dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, Professor Emeritus, full professor of agrometeorology at the Biotechnical Faculty, has for more than 40 years been a dedicated educator and researcher in the fields of applied meteorology, biometeorology and climatology, and is one of the pioneers of climate change research in Slovenia. She has won numerous awards, and together with members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Al Gore was a recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. She has enjoyed especially outstanding achievements in the area of popularising science and raising awareness about environmental issues.
