What's your vision of Europe? Show us how Europe will be like
in the year 2030 - by writing a New Year’s Speech of the President of
the European Commission for example - and win a chance to interview
Martin Schulz.
From the 22nd until the 25th of May 2014 the citizens of the EU will elect a new parliament. On this occasion the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung
launched an International Youth Competition asking you: What vision of
Europe do you have? Where do you see the EU in the year 2030? Will it
have emerged from the crisis strengthened? Will the face of Europe have
changed completely? Tell your vision of Europe 2030 and win a chance to
interview Martin Schulz, the president of the European Parliament!
To participate, you:
need to be
✗ between 16 and 23 years old*
✗ a citizen of a European Union member state
Your submission:
can be
✗ the New Year’s Speech of the President of the European Commission in the year 2030
✗ the European news on the 1st of January 2030 or
✗ an image (painting, collage, etc.) of Europe in the year 2030
can be
✗ a text
✗ a video
✗ an audio clip or
✗ an image
has to be
✗ in English
✗ in an electronic format
✗ submitted by the 7th of February 2014 via e-mail to fes-wena@fes.de
✗ include your full name, age and e-mail address
The prize:
National juries will choose the two best submissions from each
country.** The winners will travel to Rome*** for two days at the end of
February to participate in a preparatory workshop and then interview
Martin Schulz, the president of the European Parliament, live in a
broadcasted public event.
