European Summer School in Prague 2019 - Deadline Extended
The deadline for the 17th annual European Summer School in Prague has been extended until 16th June 2019!
The European Summer School in Prague is an intensive 7-day learning programme focused on European integration. It is organized by one of the leading think-tanks in Central Europe, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, under the auspices of the European Commission representation in Czech Republic, and in co-operation with Prague College and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University.
This year's European Summer School runs under the title "Restarting Europe: Central European Perspective" and will take place in Prague from 13th to 20th of July 2019. The programme will focus on the current challenges, reform of the EU, topic of migration and crisis of democracy, the perspectives of Central European countries and V4, EU foreign policy, as well as on competitiveness of respective EU regions.
The ESS 2019 will host various experts in their fields, including Jakub Dürr (Head of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU), Aleš Chmelař (Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Issues), Magdaléna Vášáryová (Slovak diplomat and politician), and other experts from non-governmental sector or academia. Our summer school's students will also have an opportunity to visit the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Czech Senate, as well as to meet with their representatives.
